PIANO WORLD
Terms of Use
Piano World app, website and materials
Version: 2 October 2026
1. Service and publisher
These Terms of Use cover piano.world, the Piano World application, its test versions and the materials provided by Piano World. The publisher is Allegro Presto Studio, 47 rue Vivienne, 75002 Paris, France. Contact: support@piano.world.
Piano World provides music practice games and resources such as sheet music. The content reuse rules below are separate from access to the software and private areas.
2. Access to the app and website
Available features depend on the version, device and compatible accessories. Some features may require an Internet connection or a compatible instrument. Connection and equipment costs are your responsibility. Distribution platform terms, including Apple and TestFlight terms, also apply to installation and use of versions supplied through those platforms.
Minors use the service with guidance and, where legally required, permission from their parent or legal guardian. Game profiles do not provide website administration access. These terms are not terms of sale: prices and conditions for any paid offer are presented separately before an order.
3. Responsible use and private accounts
Use the service for its intended purposes and respect other people's rights. You must not access accounts, data or private features without permission, disrupt the service, introduce malicious software or misuse forms to send abusive messages.
Contributors and administrators must protect their credentials and report suspected unauthorised access. Access depends on the permissions assigned to each account; private statistics are restricted to administrators. Affected access may be suspended proportionately in response to abuse or security risks, with notice where circumstances permit. Suspension does not revoke rights already validly granted in Creative Commons materials.
4. Original music, sheet music, images and videos
Unless a specific rights notice accompanies an item, original Piano World music, sheet music, images and videos for which Allegro Presto Studio holds the necessary rights are made available under Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). For music, this covers the rights held in the relevant composition, arrangement and/or recording, as identified in the credits.
The licence permits sharing and adaptation subject to its conditions:
- Attribution: retain supplied credits and notices, identify the designated creators, provide the source and a licence link, and indicate changes. Do not imply that Piano World endorses your use.
- NonCommercial: permitted use must not be primarily intended for commercial advantage or monetary compensation. Educational use is not automatically noncommercial; separate permission may be required, particularly for commercial exploitation.
- ShareAlike: if you distribute an adaptation, use the same licence or a licence recognised by Creative Commons as compatible. Do not impose additional legal or technical restrictions that prevent exercise of the licensed rights.
Example credit to adapt: “[Title] — [credited creator], Piano World / Allegro Presto Studio, [source link], CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. Changes: [description, if any].”
The licence legal code defines the permissions and conditions; this summary does not amend it. The licence is irrevocable while its conditions are met. Changes to these terms do not withdraw rights already granted under that licence. For separate commercial permission, contact support@piano.world.
5. Third-party materials, public domain and software
Public-domain works remain usable under their own legal status. An old work appearing on Piano World does not mean its edition, arrangement or recording is also free of copyright. Third-party materials retain their own licences, permissions and credits; Piano World's licence does not automatically extend to them. Check the notices attached to each score or resource.
The CC BY-NC-SA licence above does not cover the app or website's source or executable code, software libraries, personal data, accounts or private statistics. Access to the service grants no right to redistribute the software beyond applicable permissions or licences and rights provided by law. Third-party components retain their own licences.
No trademark rights or permission to present an activity as an official Piano World activity or partnership are granted. Personality and image rights, moral rights and other rights outside the licence remain applicable. These terms do not limit statutory copyright exceptions.
6. Sheet music and contributions
Available scores may be viewed or requested through the methods described on the website. Email delivery depends on a valid address and message deliverability. Receiving a file for free does not mean that every use of it is permitted.
Authorised contributors must have the necessary publication rights and accurately provide credits and distribution conditions. Publishing a third-party item does not automatically place it under the licence for original Piano World materials. To report a rights issue, send the resource link and relevant details to support@piano.world.
7. Personal data
Score requests and optional news subscriptions are described in the sheet music email privacy notice. Website analytics choices are offered separately. These terms do not constitute a mailing list subscription or consent to data processing.
For questions about data associated with the app, website or an account, or to exercise applicable rights, contact support@piano.world. Processing-specific privacy information supplements these terms.
8. Availability, beta versions and liability
The service may change or be interrupted for maintenance, updates or incidents. Beta versions are experimental: they may contain errors, change behaviour and require progress to be reset. We aim to address reported issues without promising uninterrupted operation or a specific learning outcome.
These provisions do not remove statutory warranties or mandatory remedies and do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Liability terms for Creative Commons materials are those of the applicable licence.
9. Changes and disputes
The date on this page identifies this version of the terms. Significant changes will be announced through an appropriate channel; acceptance will be requested where necessary. Changes do not retrospectively reduce Creative Commons rights already granted.
French law applies, subject to mandatory consumer protections in the consumer's country of residence and applicable jurisdiction rules. To seek an amicable solution, contact support@piano.world. Nothing requires you to waive a remedy or access to a competent court. The French and English versions describe the same terms; any discrepancy does not affect the user's mandatory rights.
